Wu Yanni won another championship in 12.80 seconds for two consecutive weeks

On May 19, Beijing time, the Tokyo Seiko Gold Grand Prix of the 2024 IAAF Intercontinental Tour was held at the Tokyo National Arena. In the women's 100m hurdles final, Wu Yanni started at the sixth track, and her starting reaction time was 0.157 seconds. Despite the adverse conditions against the wind, Wu Yanni still stood out from the start of the competition. Her advantage in the second half of the race grew stronger and stronger. After she sprinted to the finish line, she won the championship in Japan for the second week in a row with 12.80 seconds, which again set a new record for the best performance in Asia this year and was also the best in the individual season. Japan's Yumi Tanaka won the runner up in 12.90 seconds, and another Japanese player, Makiko Fukubu, won the bronze medal in 13.00 seconds.
