The Telegraph reporter Jason Burt learned that if Arsenal win the championship, West Ham will not receive additional bonus because Rice's transfer surcharge is related to the qualification of the Champions League and the number of appearances.

It is reported that West Ham have received a £ 1 million surcharge for the sale of Rice after Arsenal confirmed their qualification for the Champions League next season. This also made Rice's transfer fee reach 101 million pounds, surpassing that of Glallis to become the most expensive British player. The Telegraph revealed that West Ham will earn 1 million pounds for every time Arsenal win the Champions League qualification. This clause covers Rice's five-year contract period, excluding the option to renew the contract for an additional year. The total transfer price can reach 105 million pounds.

Last summer, Arsenal beat out Manchester City in the competition and reached an initial transfer fee of 100 million pounds with West Ham for Rice. It is understood that the surcharge is linked to the qualification of the Champions League and the number of appearances. It is reported that Rice must participate in 60% of Arsenal's games. If Arsenal win trophies, such as the Premier League championship, West Ham will not get any extra pay.

In the final round of this season's Premier League, Manchester City beat Rice's old club West Ham 3-1 and beat Arsenal by 2 points to achieve the fourth consecutive league championship.
