May 20 - The Korean Football Association today appointed former Ulsan Hyundai coach Kim Doo hoon as the temporary head coach of the national team to lead the team in two top 36 matches in June.

This is the second time this year that the Korean national team has implemented the temporary coaching system. After the dismissal of Klinsmann in February, Huang Shanhong took over the coaching temporarily in March, and won 1 win and 1 draw in two top 36 matches led by the team.

The Korean Football Association originally planned to announce the new coach candidate in May, but because the negotiations were still in progress, it again adopted the temporary coach method, appointed Kim Duhoon as the temporary head coach of the national team, responsible for leading the team in the two top 36 matches in June.

Jin Duxun began to teach in Chengnan Yihe in 2005, and then coached Incheon United and Ulsan Hyundai, and in 2021, he coached the sailors in Singapore's Lion City. In 2020, Jin Duxun led Ulsan Hyundai to win the championship of the Asian Championship League.

On June 6, South Korea will play Singapore away. Then on June 11, the South Korean team will return to the home court to face the Chinese team. Zheng Haicheng, Chairman of the Strengthening Committee of the Korean Football Association, said that Kim Doo hoon's understanding of Korean football, including his previous coaching experience in the Singapore League, was the reason why he was appointed temporary coach.
