"Zero foundation quick start, business cooperation with all major platforms, order receiving after 9 courses, stable monthly income of 3000 yuan..."

In February this year, Qingpu Branch of Shanghai Public Security Bureau received a report from Ms. Xing, a citizen. Ms. Xing said that when she browsed a part-time platform last July, she saw someone selling a video editing course worth 4980 yuan. She claimed that she could make money by taking orders after nine courses. However, after paying online for video editing training, she could not take orders and make money, and there was no way to refund.

"Our research and judgment believe that this is likely to involve fraud in the name of part-time recruitment." Xu Zhen, deputy head of the Criminal Investigation Detachment of Qingpu Branch, said that after further in-depth investigation, a criminal gang located in an office building in a park in other provinces who committed fraud in the name of recruitment emerged.

In the absence of external video editing business, the gang issued false advertisements through the job search platform, promised that "after completing 9 editing courses, they can make money by outsourcing to receive single groups", and tricked job seekers to buy 4980 yuan of video editing training courses by stages. In the meantime, the gang also forged false orders with a reward of 10-40 yuan for each order and sent them to the group to stabilize the students. When the students in the group have learned all the courses, the dispatcher will no longer distribute orders and refuse to refund. With the strong assistance of the local police, the Qingpu police arrested 122 members of the criminal gang. After preliminary verification, the amount involved in the gang exceeded 17 million yuan.

Zhang Gang, Deputy Leader of the Second Detachment of the Criminal Investigation Corps of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau, introduced that the content of the so-called "professional training" course is basically information that can be found online, and has no professional training value. When the job seeker finishes the training, the lawbreakers will prevaricate with reasons such as "insufficient training points", and the job seeker has no opportunity to receive orders at all.

In response to the criminal activity of "recruitment transfer training" fraud with "high salary recruitment" as the bait in the job market, Shanghai public security has eliminated 12 criminal gangs this year, involving nearly 40 million yuan. The Shanghai Public Security Bureau has warned that the recruitment information with "zero threshold" for direct interview and unusually high salary may involve fraud traps such as false recruitment, and job seekers should be vigilant when seeing such information; In the process of applying for a job, the employer should be cautious when it requires to pay various expenses such as "training fees" in advance.
