Since August 2019, the "Mulan" series of open source licenses have been released, and key open source communities and projects at home and abroad have supported and adopted the "Mulan Loose License". On February 14, 2020, MulanPSL v2, the second version of "Mulan Loose License", was strictly approved, officially certified by the Open Source Promotion Association (OSI), and approved as an international license. This license is certified, which means that it is officially internationally universal, can be supported and adopted by any international open source foundation or open source community, and provides services for any open source project.
In order to facilitate colleagues in the open source community to better use "Mulan", the research team summarized Mulan Loose License ， 2nd Edition （MulanPSL v2） And the industry main Stream License Of Main differences and similarities 。
MulanPSL v2 And BSD 3-clause License And Apache License V2.0 There are differences in declaration obligations, patent licensing, restrictions on user patent protection, copyright licensing and language, and no differences in trademark licensing. See the following table for details:
