The production and sales volume of new energy vehicles in the first five months increased by more than 30% year on year (new data and new focus)

Beijing, June 14 (Reporter Wang Zheng) According to the data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on the 14th, in the first five months of this year, China's automobile production and sales reached 11.384 million and 11.496 million, up 6.5% and 8.3% year on year, respectively, and the automobile production and sales maintained a steady growth year on year. The production and sales of new energy vehicles continued to grow rapidly. In the first five months, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 3.926 million and 3.895 million, up 30.7% and 32.5% year on year, respectively, and the market share reached 33.9%.

In May, the pace of new energy vehicles replacing traditional fuel vehicles in China continued to accelerate. The production and sales of new energy vehicles were 94000 and 955000, up 31.9% and 33.3% year on year respectively. The market share climbed to 39.5% after reaching 36% in April.

Recently, the automobile market policy has been continuously favorable, providing strong support for the sustained and rapid growth of new energy vehicles. The Ministry of Finance allocated special funds to support the scrapping and renewal of old cars, and the work of replacing old cars with new ones started well. Five departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, announced the launch of the 2024 New Energy Vehicles to the Countryside Campaign to speed up the improvement of the consumption and use of new energy vehicles in rural areas. With the accelerated implementation and sustained efforts of relevant policies, it will fully release the consumption potential and promote the stable development of the industry.
