Science and Technology Daily, Beijing, May 22 (Reporter Jiao Yang) The reporter learned from AVIC on the 22nd that the 001 aircraft of the AC332 helicopter, which was newly independently developed by the group, had recently completed the static test of the airframe structure with composite coefficient under vertical takeoff conditions, proving that the airframe composite structure can withstand 1.16 times the ultimate load, This marks that the helicopter airframe structure meets the strength requirements and the structural airworthiness verification has made key progress.
AC332 is a four ton advanced twin engine multi-purpose helicopter developed in accordance with the latest airworthiness requirements. It adopts a single rotor wing, high bypass tail rotor, sled landing gear and clamshell rear hatch layout, and can carry 10 passengers. The maximum takeoff weight is 3850 kg, the maximum cruise speed is 260 km/h, and the maximum range is 693 km.
The technical director of the R&D team introduced that the static test of the whole AC332 helicopter covers two items, namely, the static test of the whole metal structure and the static test of the airframe structure with 1.16 times the composite material coefficient. The test piece is the 001 aircraft. This ground test simulates the critical loading of the whole AC332 helicopter structure under the expected service environment, verifies whether the static strength of the structure meets the airworthiness requirements, and whether the strength and stiffness calculation methods are reasonable, which is one of the preconditions for the flight test and design finalization of the newly developed helicopter.
It is reported that the static test of AC332 helicopter is the first full helicopter static test carried out by Aviation Industry Harbin Aircraft Industry Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Aviation Industry Hafei"). It is the test project with the largest scale, the highest technical difficulty and the highest risk among all ground tests in the process of model development. Aviation industry Hafei has set up a test research team and a "AC332 helicopter certification party member team" to solve problems such as overall constraint design, full aircraft test load design, test risk prediction and control with high quality and efficiency.
Through extensive test analysis and simulation in the whole cycle of test planning, design and implementation, the R&D team broke through the key technologies of six degrees of freedom static constraint design, modular test loading design, passive loading error control design, whole machine virtual test and simulation, and successfully implemented the first helicopter whole machine static test based on static constraint in China.
The detailed design review of AC332 helicopter will be completed in 2019. In 2021, the sub assembly and final assembly production lines will be completed and put into use in Tianjin Aviation Industry Helicopter Co., Ltd. In 2022, the general assembly of the machine will be completed.
Then, AC332 helicopter completed the full aircraft limited load test under three working conditions, namely, right side sliding, heavy dive pull up and horizontal landing with side force, as planned; Full aircraft limited load test under four conditions of low weight dive pull up, hover left turn, single sled landing and horizontal landing with resistance; Limit load test of the whole machine under single skid landing condition.
The reporter learned that AC332 helicopter is expected to obtain the model certificate in 2025.
