In Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base, Ningxia Baoting New Energy Co., Ltd. is a pioneer in implementing the concept of "hydrogen in Ningxia". Since taking root in Ningdong 8 years ago, the company has laid out and constructed a number of projects such as coal tar and low-carbon alkane recycling, and built the first low-carbon alkane recycling and utilization joint unit in China. At the same time, the company also focused on the development of hydrogen energy industry, built the first hydrogen energy comprehensive utilization station in northwest China, and realized the integrated operation of hydrogen production, storage, filling and transportation.

Previously, Ningxia Baoting New Energy Co., Ltd. had taken steps to explore the use of hydrogen energy in Ningxia. Walking around the factory area, there are ordinary hydrogen buses, with little known "mystery" behind them.
"The engines of these buses do not drink oil and do not burn natural gas for heating. Instead, they convert hydrogen and oxygen into electric energy to drive vehicles, saving nearly 100 yuan of fuel cost per 100 kilometers compared with diesel buses." Chen Ting, chairman of the company, told reporters.
In particular, he said: "The water discharged from the exhaust pipe can be directly drunk, demonstrating excellent pollution-free and zero emission function."
According to the agreement, the New Energy and New Quality Productivity Research Institute of Ningxia Baoting Xi'an Jiaotong University will make full use of the innovative resources of academicians and experts to carry out in-depth cooperation in green hydrogen power, supercritical water hydrogen production, high-end materials and other fields.
In addition to tackling key core technologies, the two sides will also strengthen the training of high-level talents, promote the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, focus on solving major problems in the development of industry, effectively connect the "application of basic research - technological innovation - industrialization of achievements", and open up the "last mile" that promotes the generation of real productivity and accelerates the formation of new quality productivity.
