"Look, everyone, that is the national first-class protected animal, the Oriental White Stork!" On May 22, at the Daqinghe Bird Rescue Station in Leting County, Hebei Province, Tian Zhiwei, the head of the station, introduced to more than ten students who came to participate in ecological research. The rescue station is located in 123 square kilometers of Yantian sea area, which is the habitat of migratory birds on their way to migration. This year, focusing on the theme of "biodiversity, you and I participate together", governments, scientific research institutions and the public in Xinjiang, Qinghai, Hubei and other places actively participated in biodiversity conservation.
Urumqi, Xinjiang, has created a good atmosphere of respecting, adapting to and protecting nature by holding a youth "nature notebook" contest to encourage every family to participate in it. In Xining, Qinghai, the Sanjiangyuan Ecological Protection Foundation has cooperated with Xining Botanical Garden and other units to carry out not only colorful publicity activities, but also more extensive cooperation in biodiversity protection and ecological publicity and education. "Here they are!" Ke Yukun, director of Xiamen Bird Watching Association, said excitedly recently as he watched the white fronted terns flying up and down. Terns are typical migratory birds. Since May, along the beach embankment of Huandao Road, Xiamen City, Fujian Province, the rising tide has brought abundant fish and shrimp. The scene of terns gathering for food reappears, attracting many bird watchers to take pictures here.
"The water quality of the sea area around the island has improved, with more fish and more birds." Ke Yukun, who has observed and recorded the whereabouts of terns for five years, told reporters that in the past, terns mainly lived on the beach near the outside or on the uninhabited island. In recent years, with the improvement of the environment of the sea area around the island in Xiamen, the biodiversity has been effectively protected and restored, The city beach embankment has become a favorite "temporary residence" of terns.
Not long ago, in order to reduce the impact of human activities on the habitat of terns, Siming District of Xiamen City set up a temporary protection area for migratory bird habitat here, stipulating that the protection time is from May 15 to August 15 every year, and designated migratory bird observation points on the embankment. Relevant departments set up patrol teams to strengthen patrol protection by using unmanned aerial vehicles.

Qinshui County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, is located at the junction of Taihang, Taiyue and Zhongtiao mountain systems. On the same day, at the International Biodiversity Day publicity activity held by Shanxi Natural History Museum, the customs officers of Taiyuan Customs introduced to the public that with the help of the national biosafety early warning and prevention system and advanced technology and intelligent equipment, China Customs is building a national biosafety barrier.
