On March 23, Changling Police Station of Huangpu District Public Security Branch received a report from a project department of construction in progress, saying that about 4.5 tons of steel bars were stolen from the reinforcement yard at the construction site, with a total value of about 20000 yuan. After police investigation and interview, Liu, the team leader of the construction site, was found to be suspected of committing a crime. The police handling the case learned that at the time of the incident, a suspicious crane passed the site and immediately locked two other accomplices, Yang Mouhong and Yang Moucheng.
On March 27, the police investigated the case along the line, captured the suspects Liu, Yang, Yang and Wan, and recovered all the stolen steel bars in a waste purchase station near Xinwei Village, Huangpu District.
According to the account of the criminal suspect, Liu stole from himself and sold the steel bars to Yang and Yang at a total price of 8000 yuan. After the two brothers transported the rebar away, they sold it directly to the waste purchase station operated by Wan Mouhong.
At present, four suspects including Liu have been taken criminal coercive measures by Huangpu police according to law. The case is still under further investigation.
