At the conference, 14 group standards for fast charging batteries for electric vehicles and batteries for electric bicycles were issued, It is a group standard with the widest range of dimensions and the largest number of power batteries in recent years, and also a specific measure of Guangzhou to promote the development of new quality productivity.
Define fast/extreme charging for the first time
Previously, the description of battery test methods for domestic electric bicycles was relatively simple, lacking detailed specific parameters and other specific contents, and there were also problems such as long test cycle and mostly destructive tests.
Among the 14 group standards released this time, 6 are group standards for batteries for electric bicycles. These standards are multi-dimensional in terms of battery raw materials, battery product quality control, in service quick inspection, fire module design, use and maintenance of electric bicycles. By standardizing the use and maintenance methods of batteries, they extend the service life of batteries, improve the inspection of car bodies for consumers, and introduce a battery quality rating evaluation mechanism, It provides technical basis for enterprises in the group to choose the best among the best.
In view of the problems such as the long time and long cycle of battery testing in the current standard, the Code for Rapid Testing of Electric Bicycle Batteries creatively proposed a rapid testing method for electric bicycle batteries, which can complete the preliminary evaluation within 30 minutes, providing the possibility for rapid screening of "sick working" batteries.
The other eight standards are fast charging battery group standards, which is the first time in China to unify the technical specifications of fast/extremely fast charging lithium-ion power batteries for electric vehicles.
Previously, there was no unified definition of "fast/extreme charging", and the standards for key materials needed to be established, and the product testing methods needed to be improved. The group standard released this time gives the definition of fast/extremely fast charging for the first time, and it is also the first time to unify the technical specifications of fast/extremely fast charging lithium-ion power batteries for electric vehicles, providing scientific and normative guidance for the research, development, design and production of fast/extremely charged power batteries.
Will go into the community to provide "free clinic"
Shao Dan, senior engineer of Guangzhou Energy Testing and Research Institute, told the reporter of New Express that he had conducted in-depth research before formulating the group standard for batteries for electric bicycles. "We found that charging electric bicycles every 2-3 days is the most common charging habit of citizens at present, and most users tend to charge at night. Considering that people are relatively low alertness at night, and most of them are in a resting state, it is particularly important to ensure the safety supervision of the charging environment of electric bicycles to prevent accidents before they happen."
Shao Dan pointed out that after the release of the standard, the practice of the standard will be promoted. For example, the Code for Rapid Testing of Electric Bicycle Batteries will go into the community and the city square in the future to provide free "free clinic" services for everyone. In addition, two group standards have also been issued for the use of electric bicycle batteries, hoping to improve the safety of the entire battery in the use process and ensure the safety of consumers by standardizing the use process.
In terms of fast charging battery group standards, relevant standards have been implemented. Guangzhou Juwan Technology Research Co., Ltd. is the first enterprise in the world to mass produce extremely fast charging power batteries. Xiang Shenglin, the company's standardization manager, said, "In the past, our production process lacked relevant standards, which was equivalent to a state of no standards to follow. The release of the fast charging battery group standards has a huge role in promoting the safety of our products in mass production." She also pointed out that, The existing standards have been applied. The company has successfully developed and mass produced a number of ultra fast charging and ultra fast charging power batteries for electric vehicles, and put them into the whole vehicle.
It is understood that some of the group standards released this time have been included in the new round of Guangdong local standard formulation plan, which will further enhance the promotion and application of Guangzhou quality improvement group standards.
