On May 22, it was reported online that a landslide occurred in Jiaokou Town, Yanchang County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, and it was suspected that vehicles and personnel were buried.
At about 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd, the staff of Yanchang County Emergency Management Bureau told Red Star News that at about 2:10 p.m. on the 22nd, a landslide occurred in Puhe Village, Jiaokou Town. After receiving the phone call, the staff of the bureau rushed to the landslide site at the first time to cooperate with the local public security, fire protection, health and other departments for rescue.

A villager in Puhe Village, Jiaokou Town told Red Star News that the landslide occurred at more than 2:00 p.m. on the 22nd, "the specific situation of the landslide is not known at present, only public security and fire fighters are seen on the scene."

At 17:50 on the 22nd, the public account "Yanchang Propaganda" released the news that at about 14:10 on May 22nd, a road slope collapse occurred in Puhe Village, Jiaokou Town, National Highway 242, Yanchang County. After being informed of the danger, Yanchang County Party Committee and Government immediately organized on-site rescue and disposal work, and established four working groups, namely, on-site rescue, risk elimination, medical treatment, and traffic control. According to preliminary verification, the slope of the road in Puhe Village, Jiaokou Town, 242 National Highway, Yanchang County collapsed (about 1000 cubic meters), causing damage to three cars and road obstruction. At present, 2 people are injured and have been sent to the hospital for treatment (one of them is slightly injured and the other one has stable vital signs). As of the time of writing, the work of road risk elimination is in order.
