In addition, the API input and output prices of Hunyuan standard series have also decreased by more than 50%.
Just a day ago, Alibaba Cloud first announced that the API input price of Qwen Long, the main model of Tongyi Qianwen GPT-4, has dropped by 97%. After the reduction, the input price is about 1/400 of the GPT-4 price. Subsequently, Baidu announced that the two main models of Wenxin model were free. IFLYTEK also announced a few hours ago that its iFLYTEK Spark Lite API will be permanently free of charge, and the prices of other large model versions will also be reduced to varying degrees.
The high reasoning cost is the key factor restricting the large-scale application of large models. Among the reasons for the price reduction of many leading manufacturers, one of the important reasons for the price reduction is that more enterprises can afford the big model and accelerate the implementation of AI applications.
Tencent said that at present, the big model track is still in the process of climbing, and will continue to provide customers with competitive products and services in the future. Liu Weiguang, senior vice president of Alibaba Cloud Intelligent Group and president of the Public Cloud Business Department, also disclosed that reducing the price of big model reasoning is to accelerate the explosion of AI applications.
Some analysts said that the price reduction and free strategy can enable more small and medium-sized enterprises and individual developers to use the big model technology, thus accelerating the popularization of technology and the expansion of application scenarios. At the same time, he reminded that "price war" should follow the basic principles of the market, and price reduction must benefit the market, with the goal of promoting market development.
