The tourist Xu (male, 33 years old) drove into the grassland without authorization at about 15:00 on May 17 in Tohurasu Scenic Area, and rolled the grassland, causing damage to the vegetation of the 2 mu grassland, seriously affecting the ecological environment and subsequent growth of the grassland.
The Yining County Forestry and Grassland Bureau filed a case for investigation on May 21, and imposed an administrative penalty of 5000 yuan, ordering it to restore vegetation within a time limit and compensate herdsmen for grassland losses.
