At the "5G-A Construction and Application Innovation Development Forum" held at the same time, Fu Zhiren, vice president of China Telecom Research Institute, said that 5G-A, on the one hand, enhanced the performance of three scenarios, namely eMBB, uRLLC and mMTC, to achieve 10GbE experience and deterministic network capabilities; On the other hand, we will explore the new scenarios of 6G in advance, expand new capabilities and businesses, and expand the capabilities of synaesthesia, space and space, Internet of Things and network intelligence.

To help 5G-A evolve, a series of key technologies are needed. Fu Zhiren introduced that the standard, industry and demand of carrier polymerization and RedCap are mature, and it is expected to be the first to realize commercial use in 24 years. Definitive networks, integration of heaven and earth, synaesthesia, passive Internet of Things, AI, etc. still need to promote the further maturity of standards and industries, or foster market demand.

China Telecom actively carries out 5G-A technology innovation practice. In terms of carrier aggregation, "super" series technical innovation schemes such as super uplink, super frequency fusion and super time-frequency folding are proposed to realize the extreme experience of large bandwidth and low delay. At present, the standardization of super uplink has been completed, and super time-frequency folding is in progress. In terms of RedCap, it has taken the lead in completing the full band, full system, and full scene outfield pilot, and will carry out terminal network joint debugging later to help RedCap terminal ecology and prosperity.

In terms of deterministic network, build a dynamic SLA deterministic network security system to promote the research on endogenous deterministic standards; In terms of NTN, it leads the standard direction of integration of heaven and earth and the NR NTN business application pilot, and connects the NR NTN VoWIFI voice phone; In terms of passive IoT, we launched the cooperation initiative of "cellular passive IoT technology and industrial development" to help industry university research cooperation; In terms of low altitude synaesthesia, multi frequency cooperation is used to achieve low altitude communication+perception, and 8 provincial outfield tests are carried out; In AI, the industry pioneered the independent research and development of NWDAF signaling storm intelligent control scheme to build high-performance analysis and reasoning capabilities.

Based on the key technologies of 5G-A, China Telecom has defined its work objectives and time plan around six major directions of business mining, production, education, research and application, technological innovation, innovation experiment, network deployment, and industrial promotion, and helped 5G-A to achieve ecological prosperity.

Fu Zhiren mainly introduced the work of innovation test. China Telecom Cloud Network has integrated the new field of focusing on large scientific innovation devices, incubated 5G-A characteristic tests such as Wing Moment Satellite Test Terminal Test System and Cell free cellular quasi commercial test. The former pioneered the 5G+satellite integrated test scheme, realizing the leading test capability of "One Modernization, Three More"; The latter will help promote Cell Free technology and improve the spectrum utilization capability of mobile networks in the future.

Fu Zhiren said that 5G-A keeps improving its performance, but 5G cellular network indoor coverage still faces challenges. VoWiFi can be used as a supplement to cellular calls in the home scenario to solve the coverage pain points. In the future, it can also meet the needs of indoor large bandwidth business, expand the coverage of blind areas such as aircraft and ocean, provide differentiated services, and innovate the business model

At the same time, it is necessary to drive the construction of 5G-A based on the scenario. The development of 5G in ToB can focus on two directions: diffusion and deepening. On the one hand, it can spread to SMEs through low-cost solutions (such as RedCap, passive Internet of Things, etc.); On the other hand, it will enter the core production link of industrial manufacturing through network industry collaboration to deepen the combination of 5G and industry.

In addition, new 6G scenarios (such as synaesthesia, AI, etc.) will be considered in advance in the 5G-A phase, and convergent technical solutions will be formed in China. The strategy of joint construction and sharing will be implemented to reduce investment costs and further prosper the market; The formulation of 6G standards needs to break the traditional intergenerational concept of communication, introduce vertical industry companies, BAT and other joint participation, and give priority to promoting the maturity and industrialization of 6G standards for scenarios with clear needs.
