China Telecom Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Integrated Data Center Project is the core layout of the national "East Data and West Computing" in the Greater Bay Area, and is one of the eight hub nodes of the national integrated computing network. The total investment in the first phase of the project is more than 3.2 billion yuan, covering an area of about 98 mu, with a total construction area of about 95000 square meters. The data center and the full liquid cooling intelligent computing center are built in high quality according to the national A standards. The project was started on May 6, 2023, which is the first project in Shaoguan cluster. The civil engineering project was capped on September 12 of that year, and the electromechanical construction was fully started in December. Building A1 data center and A2 full liquid cooling intelligent computing center were built in high quality according to national A standards.
Chen Shaorong, Secretary of Shaoguan Municipal Party Committee, said in his speech that the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Integrated Data Center Project is the largest and the first large-scale all liquid cooling intelligent computing center in the Greater Bay Area of China Telecom. The project started in May 2023 and officially released today, becoming a benchmark project of "the earliest start, the fastest construction, and the first production", It marks that Shaoguan has taken a solid step in cluster construction and intelligent computing industry development. Shaoguan will continue to deepen cooperation with Guangdong Telecom, firmly serve the development of enterprises, vigorously develop the whole industrial chain from information equipment manufacturing, computing center construction to intelligent computing applications, and serve the development of intelligent computing industry in the Bay Area. It is hoped that Guangdong Telecom will give full play to its own advantages, continue to increase investment in Shaoguan, deepen digital empowerment, and boost high-quality development.

China Telecom has synchronously improved the network level of Shaoguan data center cluster, created a national network hub node, comprehensively improved the cross regional computing power dispatching capability, and met the real-time computing power demand of Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Guangdong Telecom will continue to increase investment, focus on building the integrated data center in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area into an internationally competitive computing industry cluster, and provide high-quality and efficient computing services for users in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and even the whole country; At the same time, we will promote the landing of relevant computing projects in Shaoguan, build a new ecosystem of computing, help Shaoguan accelerate the development of the whole industrial chain from information equipment manufacturing, computing center construction to intelligent computing applications, continue to empower the digital economy, and boost the high-quality development of Shaoguan.
At the release ceremony, the signing ceremony of the Digital Shaoguan Framework Agreement was also held.
