On April 16, on the eve of the Shanghai International Auto Show, Huawei released a series of smart car solutions, including HUAWEI ADS 2.0 (Huawei Advanced Intelligent Driving System), smart cockpit, smart car optics, and smart car digital platform, and again emphasized Huawei's strategic positioning of focusing on ICT technology to help automobile enterprises build good cars.

It is reported that Huawei's intelligent car solution has been improved in five aspects: intelligent auxiliary driving, Hongmeng intelligent cockpit, on-board optical, digital platform and car cloud services. Among them, the highly concerned Huawei advanced intelligent driving system HUAWEI ADS 2.0 can achieve intelligent driving assistance in urban areas, high-speed areas and parking areas, and has made significant progress in many aspects.

Yu Chengdong, executive director of Huawei, CEO of Terminal BG and CEO of Smart Car Solution BU, said frankly at the press conference that Huawei's advanced intelligent driving system HUAWEI ADS 2.0 has been far ahead of the new power brand and Tesla in terms of the ability to identify abnormal obstacles, the number of intelligent driving takeovers, etc.

It is reported that Huawei's advanced intelligent driving system HUAWEI ADS 2.0 has been launched for the first time in the AITO World M5 Huawei's advanced intelligent driving version released on April 17. Later, Avita 11 and Jihu Alpha S HI will also be upgraded, and more models will be installed in the future.

It is understood that, compared with HUAWEI ADS 1.0, HUAWEI ADS 2.0 is based on multi-sensor fusion, combined with high-performance intelligent driving platform and anthropomorphic intelligent driving algorithm, and can achieve a continuous driving experience facing high-speed, urban and parking scenes.

Yu Chengdong said that currently, HUAWEI ADS 2.0 has achieved the landing of NCA (Smart Driving Pilot Assistance) in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Guangzhou urban areas, and "can be opened without high-precision maps". By the fourth quarter of this year, 45 cities will have achieved urban NCA. In terms of high-speed NCA, the ability of the latest Huawei advanced intelligent driving system to face up and down ramps, obstacle avoidance, road construction and other scenarios has also been further improved, raising the average manual takeover mileage from 100km to 200km.

Yu Chengdong is quite confident in the intelligent driving ability of HUAWEI ADS 2.0. When talking about the GOD (General Obstacle Identification) network of Huawei's advanced intelligent driving system, Yu Chengdong said that Huawei's intelligent driving system has a stronger ability to identify abnormal obstacles compared with a foreign "T model". "Foreign T models will hit at 40km/h, while Huawei can stop at 80km/h.". He also said that according to the test, the models equipped with HUAWEI ADS have far ahead of Tesla in terms of ramp passing rate, takeover times and other high-speed performance.

Time Finance has learned that Huawei has also launched a subscription service for advanced intelligent driving system this time: both the new and old versions of HUAWEI ADS now include basic package, advanced package and advanced package. At present, the commercial models that have been cooperated with are standard configuration of basic package and advanced package, and the advanced package can be purchased optionally. Among them, HUAWEI ADS 1.0 is a one-time purchase of 32000 yuan, annual subscription package of 6400 yuan, and monthly subscription package of 640 yuan; The ADS 2.0 advanced version is a one-time purchase of 36000 yuan, 7200 yuan per year and 720 yuan per month.

For specific landing models, HUAWEI ADS 2.0 has been launched for the first time on the M5 Huawei Advanced Intelligent Driver of AITO Interworld.

In addition, Huawei said that the Avita 11 and Jihu Alpha S · HI versions previously equipped with HUAWEI ADS 1.0 will also be upgraded later. In addition, more than 10 new cars with Huawei's advanced automatic driving and intelligent cockpit are under development and will be launched from this autumn to next year.

BAIC Jihu upgraded to smart selection mode

In the view of the industry, Huawei chose the AITO Interworld M5 as the first landing model of HUAWEI ADS 2.0, which reflects its emphasis on the AITO Interworld and the smart car selection model. Among the car brands and models launched with Huawei, the market performance of the AITO Interworld under the smart car selection model is the most prominent.

It is understood that there are four models of cars under sale launched by Huawei in deep cooperation with car companies, involving three brands and two modes, namely, the AITO World M5 and M7 in the smart car selection mode, the Extreme Fox Alpha S HI and Avita 11 in the Huawei HI mode. Among them, the AITO boundary M5 will be sold in December 2021, and the monthly delivery of more than 5000 vehicles has been achieved for many consecutive months.

In contrast, Jihu Alpha S HI and Avita 11 came into the market late and sold less. According to Autohome data, in March this year, the delivery volume of the full range of models (including the HI version) of Jihu Alpha S was only 1287; Avita 11 delivered 2221 vehicles.

Not long ago, Yu Chengdong said at the forum of China Electric Vehicle Hundred Talents Association that currently only Avita is left in the HI mode - the cooperation mode between Huawei and GAC Group has changed, and there are some problems in the product definition and competitiveness of BAIC (Jihu). He also revealed that there are still many cooperative automobile enterprises under the intelligent selection mode. In addition to the parent company of AITO, Celis, Chery, BAIC and JAC will follow.

It is worth mentioning that at the press conference on April 16, Yu Chengdong once again responded to the cooperative relationship with BAIC. "There was a mistake in the previous statement, and the colleagues of BAIC had a lot of opinions." He said: "Huawei and BAIC Jihu did not cooperate, but upgraded to the smart election mode."

In the face of the rapid development of the current automobile industry, Yu Chengdong also expressed his own view: "Towards the era of intelligent electric vehicles, the first half of the industry competition is electrification, the second half is intelligence, the first half of the sports competition is important, and the second half is the key to victory."

Yu Chengdong said that the Huawei car BU was born in the era of intelligent connected cars, providing intelligent, networked and electrified incremental components. At present, the shipment of intelligent parts in Huawei's smart car business has reached 2 million, and there are more than 300 ecological partners.
