After hearing this incident, the Beijing Fengtai Court made a judgment: although the electronic lock camera installed by Sun did not directly capture the situation of Zhang and his family members, its shooting scope included the public walkway in front of the door. Considering that the walkway belongs to social public space, and the access and use personnel are relatively specific and clearly limited to two people living around - namely, residents with the surname of Zhang and residents with the surname of Sun.
Therefore, under normal circumstances, these two families should have the right to privacy protection of these personal information. However, since the video recorded and stored by the smart door lock involves personal privacy information that neighbors are unwilling to let others know, it threatens and infringes their privacy. Therefore, according to the judge's findings, the judgment requires Sun to remove the intelligent door lock he installed.
