Tesla's laid-off employees submitted an emergency motion, claiming that the severance pay was far lower than the legal provisions

According to Reuters, on July 5, two people were fired Tesla The former employees of the Nevada factory submitted an urgent motion to prevent Tesla from reaching a separation agreement with a severance payment far lower than the legal requirement.

This motion submitted to Texas shows that Tesla has always required the laid-off employees to agree to waive all claims in the layoff action in exchange for only one to two weeks' wages and welfare severance pay, which is far lower than the 60 day wages and severance pay employees are entitled to under the Workers' Adjustment and Retraining Notice Act (WARN) of the United States.

The two former employees had previously filed a lawsuit in June, accusing Tesla of "mass layoffs" without providing the required 60 day notice, in violation of legal provisions.
