Landsat 1 Group 01 satellite is the first scientific research satellite project approved in the National Civil Space Infrastructure Medium and Long Term Development Plan (2015-2025), consisting of A and B satellites. Satellite A was successfully launched at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on January 26. At present, the in orbit test is being carried out as planned, and the relevant functions and performance of the satellite are normal. After satellite B enters orbit, it will conduct in orbit test separately, and then conduct formation test with satellite A.

The National Space Administration is responsible for the organization and management of the satellite project, the organization and coordination of major issues, and the approval of the launch license.
