According to the commodity market analysis system of the business agency, the price of bromine rose steadily this week. At the beginning of the week, the average market price was 20400 yuan/ton, and at the end of the week, the average market price was 20800 yuan/ton, up 1.96%, down 16.12% from the same period last year. On May 16, the bromine commodity index was 72.98, up 1.4 points from yesterday, down 70.23% from the cycle's highest point of 245.18 (2021-10-27), and up 23.86% from the lowest point of 58.92 on October 29, 2014. This week, the price of bromine rose steadily, and the mainstream quotation in Shandong market was about 20000-22000 yuan/ton. The increase in the price of bromine is mainly due to the small number of imports, which is still in the import window period and is still favorable for the price of bromine. The downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries are still mainly purchased on demand recently, with a strong wait-and-see mood. Bromine enterprises do not rush to ship, and market suppliers and demanders play games. In terms of raw materials, the domestic sulfur price rose. The average market price at the beginning of the week was 1183.33 yuan/ton, and the average market price at the weekend was 1103.33 yuan/ton. The price fell by 6.76%, 39.08% higher than the same period last year.
It is predicted that the price of bromine will rise steadily in the near future, the price of upstream sulfur will fall, and the downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries of bromine will still be mainly purchased on demand in the near future, with relatively small profits. The supply and demand game comprehensively predicts that the short-term bromine price will fluctuate, depending on the downstream market demand.
