Before joining ICBC, Zhang Shouchuan had long served in Bank of China 。 He once served as Head of the Review Secretariat of the Risk Management Department of the Bank of China Head Office and Head of the Risk Planning Team. Since November 2007, he has successively served as Deputy General Manager of the Risk Management Department and Director of the New Capital Accord Implementation Planning Coordination Office, Vice President and Risk Director of Shandong Branch, President of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Branch in December 2016, and Director of the Head Office Office in March 2018, In January 2021, he served as President of Shanghai Branch and Executive Vice President of Shanghai RMB Trading Business Headquarters.
