As one of the important activities under the framework of the Sino Russian Cultural Year, the "Heart of Russia" Cultural and Art Festival will be held in Beijing from June 12 to 15.
The festival was jointly held by the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Russian Overseas Chinese and International Humanities and Cultural Cooperation Agency, the New Town Creative Industry Center, the Beijing Russian Cultural Center and the Beijing Exhibition Hall. At the press conference held by Beijing Russian Cultural Center on May 20, the sponsor introduced that the Cultural Arts Festival is divided into two parts: culture and business. The cultural activities include fashion shows, concert programs, master classes, quizzes, cooking competitions and immersive performances. Representatives from more than 20 regions, important commercial institutions and various fields such as culture, tourism, catering and creative industries in Russia will also appear in the Beijing Exhibition Hall. At that time, while fully appreciating and experiencing Russian culture and art, the audience can also get close to authentic Russian handicraft exhibits, clothing, textiles and taste Russian food. The opening performance of the Culture and Arts Festival will be held on June 13 at the China Millennium Monument in Beijing.
Natalia Stepkina, Minister of the Russian Embassy in China, said that Russian culture, art, philosophy and music are loved by the Chinese people. She believed that this festival would demonstrate the charm and diversity of Russian culture and be warmly welcomed by Beijing citizens.
Cong Rifang, secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of Beijing Exhibition Center Group Co., Ltd., said that in 2023, Beizhan signed a cooperation agreement with Beijing Russian Cultural Center, and planned to hold rich activities during the Sino Russian Cultural Year and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. It is hoped that this festival will contribute to the cultural exchanges between China and Russia and inject new vitality into the friendship between the Chinese and Russian people.
