This survey, through online and offline channels, carried out research on caregivers of children aged 0-6 years old from four directions: caregivers' perception of children's home injuries, caregivers' behavior of creating children's home safety, the situation of children's home injuries, and children's home safety concerns on Weibo, aiming at targeted injury intervention, Reduce children's home injuries and provide evidence-based reference.

Analysis of research results

1、 Only 38.05% of the caregivers believed that "home" was the main place where child injuries occurred. The actual data of the survey shows that more than 50% of children's injuries occur at home, and caregivers need to improve their awareness of this.

The nurses believed that the top three causes of injuries among children aged 0-6 years were falling/falling (76.88%), road traffic injuries (56.13%) and drowning (54.46%). Animal injury was the seventh (18.82%). Among the actual causes of injury reported by the caregivers, animal injury is the fourth, infants under one year old, and animal injury is the third. Animal injury needs attention from the caregivers.

2、 On the behavior of caregivers to create children's home safety, only 20.79% of caregivers used gas or smoke alarms, and only 54.82% of window safety locks or guardrails were used. More than 50% of caregivers said that children could get household laundry products and kitchen and bathroom cleaning products.

Caregivers still need to improve greatly in creating a safe environment for children at home, using effective injury prevention tools and self safety behaviors.

3、 When children were injured at home, 66.95% of the caregivers said that children had been injured at home. The top five categories of children's home injuries were fall/fall (46.81%), burn (19.75%), knife/sharp instrument injury (17.42%), animal injury (10.73%) and drowning (7.7%). 69.57% of children suffered from injuries at home were taken care of by adults. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the publicity of effective care among caregivers.
