There are certain standards for weight gain during pregnancy. The internationally and domestically recommended standard is that women with normal weight gain about 12.5 kg during the whole pregnancy. If the standard is obviously exceeded, the complications of the mother during pregnancy and childbirth will rise significantly, and the complications of the fetus will also rise significantly.

Weight control during pregnancy is really not easy. First, many expectant mothers are hungry after pregnancy; Second, after pregnancy, the amount of exercise is significantly reduced, and less consumption is easy to gain meat; Third, the elders of the family will persuade expectant mothers to eat more for their children. In order to control the weight gain during pregnancy, the general diet suggestions are: in principle, vegetables can be liberalized, and you can eat as much as you want; Protein intake should be moderate and not excessive; Carbohydrates are mainly to be controlled, including staple foods, snacks and sugary drinks.

In clinical practice, when I talk about the diet structure with overweight expectant mothers, they often say: "I have eaten very little of my staple food and sweets, and sometimes I don't even eat them. Why is my weight still under control?" If you ask her again, does she eat fruit? As a result, some pregnant women will eat fruit as food. So, the bad weight control is caused by fruit.

In addition to various vitamins and cellulose, fruits also contain rich fructose. Fructose has the advantages of good taste, high sweetness, low glycemic index and not easy to cause dental caries. Among all kinds of natural sugars, fructose has the highest sweetness. As fructose is a monosaccharide, it can not be directly used by the human body. After being absorbed by the intestine, it enters the liver for metabolism and can be converted into glucose, glycogen and fat respectively. Compared with glucose, fructose is easier to convert into fat. When a small amount of fructose is ingested, fructose is mainly converted into glucose, which increases the storage of glycogen in the liver. But when fructose intake is high, it is mainly used as the raw material of unlimited synthetic fat. Among the factors leading to obesity, fructose is even more harmful than glucose and sucrose.

There is no denying that fruit is a good thing, but no matter how good it is, you can't eat more, especially for expectant mothers. According to the recommendation of the Maternal and Child Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, the daily consumption of fruit during pregnancy is 200~400g, which is the total amount of fruit in a day. After eating fruit, don't drink fruit juice. After drinking fruit juice, don't eat fruit. If you drink juice, it is recommended not to exceed 150 milliliters a day. Generally, it is recommended to eat fruit directly rather than drink fruit juice. Fruit itself is rich in cellulose, vitamins and antioxidant substances, which can help fight intestinal cancer, but these substances will be lost during processing, so it is recommended not to squeeze fruit into juice.
