The new pure electric G-class off-road vehicle has a minimum ground clearance of 250 mm, and can still achieve 100% (45 degrees) climbing capability, and maintain roll stability at 35 degrees. The wading depth of 850mm is 150mm higher than that of the fuel model, and the wading ability is further improved.

In terms of chassis, the front axle of the family style non load bearing body adopts double wishbone independent suspension, and the rear axle adopts the rigid axle independently developed for the electric drive system. After the chassis is fully upgraded, the battery pack of the double-layer layout is embedded in the trapezoidal frame after optimization, so as to realize the low center of gravity layout of the vehicle.

In terms of power, the new pure electric G-class off-road vehicle is equipped with four independently controllable wheel motors and an electric two gear transmission, which makes the peak power of the new pure electric G-class off-road vehicle reach 432 kW, bringing 1164 Nm of peak torque, and the 100 km acceleration is only 4.7 seconds.

And these four independent wheel side motors can cooperate with the intelligent torque vector distribution function to achieve the "electric virtual differential lock" and ensure the millisecond response of each wheel. The intelligent control system with automatic locking still provides full steering capability in off-road mode. Even if only one wheel has the grip, the vehicle will continue to provide the ability to escape. Equipped with an electric two gear transmission, the new pure electric G-class off-road vehicle can achieve an electric low-speed off-road gear. The driving torque is increased by a 2:1 gear ratio to maintain the power output in the low-speed and high torque operation range.

Thanks to the powerful power system, the new pure electric G-class off-road vehicle has realized many new functions. The "off road crawl" intelligent off-road crawl mode can intelligently control the vehicle to select forward or backward during climbing or downhill in three constant speed cruise modes, while the driver only needs to hold the steering wheel to focus on the route. Among them, when the speed is constant, it can travel at 2 or 8 km/h, and it can exit at any time when accelerating or braking; The speed can be increased to a maximum of 14 km/h by accelerating when changing gears, and exit when braking, making it easier for novices to control and for veterans to cross the country.

The "G-STEERING" function can lock the inner rear wheel through the wheel side motor, significantly reducing the turning radius of the new pure electric G-class off-road vehicle, helping the vehicle to pass through the extreme chicane section more calmly like a circle. The "G-TURN" turning function controls the wheels on both sides to rotate reversely through four motors, so as to easily complete the high speed steering on flat ground, and help the driver to easily return before the extreme end break.

In terms of interior decoration, there is little change between the new car and the current fuel model. The vehicle is equipped with the second generation MBUX intelligent human-computer interaction system as standard, as well as a 12.3-inch high-definition instrument panel and a 12.3-inch central touch screen. The driver can open the "digital off-road cockpit" interface, and obtain professional real-time data including level, compass, altitude, front and rear wheel steering angle, torque, power, tire pressure, etc. through the digital instrument screen and the central control screen, so that the driving control can be fully mastered. To judge whether an electric vehicle can really go off-road, not only the endurance and charging ability should be considered, but also battery safety and rigorous testing are essential. The new pure electric G-class off-road vehicle is equipped with a 12 module battery pack with an available power of 116 kilowatt hours, bringing about 570 kilometers of driving range under CLTC conditions. At the same time, the vehicle supports DC fast charging with a maximum power of 200 kW, and it only takes 32 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. The external protective layer of the battery can be waterproof, dustproof and stone splash proof. The underbody protection plate supported by the patented lightweight composite material has extremely high corrosion resistance, weighing only 57.6kg, which is one third of the weight of steel and aluminum materials with the same shape, but more rigid. In addition, an efficient battery management system composed of three active cooling layers can keep the vehicle at the optimal operating temperature under all working conditions.
