On May 21 local time, the first European promotion activity of Chinese (Yunnan) tea culture in 2024, "Cloud Soaring the World, Tea Moving the World", was held in Paris, France.

The event was jointly hosted by the Information Office of the Provincial Government and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Provincial Government, with the theme of "a better life, beauty and sharing", including the launch ceremony, tea culture industry promotion, thematic concerts, tea salons, tea culture poetry sharing meeting, intangible cultural heritage exhibition, food tasting and other rich and colorful content. In addition to Paris, France, relevant promotion activities will also be held in Lyon, Belgium, Brussels and Rome, Italy.

The activity of the day kicked off in the dance performance. The artists of our province demonstrated the scene of picking and making tea among the mountains and the sea with multi-ethnic dances of Dai, Yi, Hani and other ethnic groups. A free experience area is set up on the site, where guests can experience intangible cultural heritage such as tea drinking, tea art and rubbing, calligraphy, bamboo weaving, etc. Participants said that this activity will enable European people to have a deeper understanding of the unique charm of Chinese tea, especially Yunnan tea, and deepen cultural exchanges in the tea charm and fragrance.
