Nanning, May 21 (Reporter Pang Geping) The 2024 China (Guangxi) - ASEAN New Vegetable Varieties Conference and the 8th China (Nanning) Fresh Corn Conference were held on the 20th at the National Crop Variety Exhibition and Evaluation Base in Wutang Town, Xingning District, Nanning, Guangxi.

With the theme of "Promoting New Varieties and Enriching the Vegetable Basket", the conference focused on the exhibition of 1658 excellent new varieties of vegetables and fresh corn from 123 units inside and outside Guangxi, including 47 foreign varieties. The conference takes the form of "1+3" (one main venue and three branch venues) for the first time. The main venue is located in the national crop variety exhibition and evaluation base in Wutang Town, and the exhibition period is from May 20 to June 10.

It is reported that the China (Guangxi) - ASEAN New Vegetable Varieties Conference and the China (Nanning) Fresh Corn Conference have been held for seven consecutive years, showing 7734 new vegetable varieties, 1882 fresh corn varieties, and 913 excellent new vegetable varieties, which has become the largest, most diverse, and best planting effect in Southwest China One of the new varieties of vegetables and fresh corn exhibitions with the highest participation.
