Recently, the staff of Nujiang Prefecture Forestry and Grassland Bureau came across several Yunnan snub nosed monkeys on the same tree when they were patrolling the Lasha Mountain area of Yunling Provincial Nature Reserve. They jump among the branches flexibly, showing their agile skills, while some sit leisurely on the branches, enjoying the sun; Another female monkey held a baby monkey in her arms, and the baby monkey looked around curiously.

Yunnan snub nosed monkey, also known as black snub nosed monkey, is a national first-class key protected wild animal and a rare and endangered primate unique to China. The skin of Yunnan snub nosed monkey is mainly gray black and white, the eye circumference and snout are greenish gray or flesh pink, and the nose tip is upturned and dark blue. The back of the body, hands, feet and tail are grayish black, and there is grayish white sparse long hair on the back. The abdomen, neck side, buttocks and inner side of limbs are white.

It is reported that there are three populations of Yunnan snub nosed monkeys in Yunling Provincial Nature Reserve. Through long-term monitoring, it is found that the activities of Yunnan snub nosed monkey groups in Yunling Provincial Nature Reserve are mainly foraging, accounting for more than 80% of the total daily activities.
