Zhaotong, people.com.cn, May 18 Recently, the Lizhou Bee Tiger came to the Jinsha River in Qiaojia County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province. They gathered here, or spread their wings to fly, or stay to look for food. The sound of birds is clear and pleasant.

Chestnut throated bee tiger is a bird of the genus Bee Tiger of Bee Tiger Family. It is a national second-class protected wild animal. It mainly lives in Southeast Asia and feeds on butterflies, dragonflies, moths, beetles, etc.

As a summer migratory bird, in April every year, the Lizhou Bee Tiger will "group" to Qiaojia County to dig holes in the "cliffs and sand walls" to feed their offspring.

Chestnut throated bee tiger has bright feathers of tropical birds. Its throat is chestnut red, with black eye lines. Its wings and back are green, its tail is blue, and its inner side is orange. In the sunlight, the whole body shines with metallic luster. Chestnut throated bee tigers like open fields and often live on bare branches or wires. They are reputed as "fairies among birds".

In order to reduce the interference of human activities on the Lizhou Bee Tiger, Qiaojia County will continue to strengthen patrol and supervision, and create a paradise with good environment, harmony and safety for the Lizhou Bee Tiger. (Cai Shujing, Zhang Yunping, Liu Renchuan, Tang Fuyao)
