Yangbi, people.com.cn, May 13 (Reporter Cheng Hao) In the morning of May 11, at the end of primary school in the center of Cangshan West Town, Yangbi County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, children either had fun on the basketball court and football court, or worked in the labor practice base, or read in the library with favorite books, or studied hard in the classroom, with laughter and cheers.

On May 21, 2021, an earthquake of magnitude 6.4 occurred in Yangbi County, causing serious damage to some old school buildings. Since then, the local government has integrated the central, provincial and state natural disaster relief funds, Tzu Chi Charity Foundation donated funds, central budget investment and other resources to build a new Cangshan West Town Center, which will be put into use on August 25, 2023.

Cangshan West Town Central Primary School now has 1092 students, 81 teaching staff and 27 teaching classes. Compared with the previous school buildings, the facilities and equipment of the new campus have been greatly improved, including school buildings such as teaching buildings, canteen restaurants, activity centers, dormitories, football fields, basketball courts, badminton courts, libraries, multimedia classrooms and other venues.

"We will aim to improve the teaching quality, and strive to improve the comprehensive quality of students, so that children can grow up healthily and happily," said Chang Shaochang, the principal of the completion primary school of Cangshan West Town Center.
