Technology empowerment, discipline mutual aid, integrity and innovation: 2024 Capital Institute of Journalism and Communication Dean's Forum held in Beijing

On the afternoon of April 21, the second Dean's Forum of the Capital Institute of Journalism and Communication was held in Beijing Sport University. Secretaries and deans of the School of Journalism and Communication from more than 20 universities, including Beijing, Fujian and Liaoning, and relevant principals of some scientific research institutions and practice units attended the forum. The theme of the forum was "the innovative development of sports journalism and communication discipline in the context of the new liberal arts". The participating experts carried out in-depth discussions on topics such as the change of discipline environment, the construction of curriculum system, the combination of theory and practice, and interdisciplinary integration.

The forum includes guest speeches and round table dialogues. In the guest speech segment, Zhou Qing'an, Dean of School of Journalism and Communication of Tsinghua University, Zhou Yong, Dean of School of Journalism of Renmin University of China, and Wang Xiaohong, Dean of Undergraduate School of Communication University of China, shared their views on scene integration and technology empowerment in journalism and communication education. The three round table dialogues were held around the themes of "talent cultivation and development trend of journalism and communication discipline", "journalism and communication under technological change and discipline mutual aid", and "development and innovation of characteristic journalism and communication colleges". Secretaries and deans of journalism and communication colleges in 21 universities exchanged views on relevant topics.

This forum is jointly sponsored by the Chinese Society of Journalism History, the Sports News and Communication Branch of the Chinese Sports Science Society and Beijing Sport University. It is committed to providing more diversified wisdom programs for the talent training of journalism and communication discipline, the integrity and innovation of journalism and communication discipline under the technological change, and the development of characteristic journalism and communication colleges.
