Take a boat along the main stream of Kashi River and look down at the river. Rows of cages can be seen, and fish can jump out of the water from time to time.

In Kalasu Township, Nilke County, Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, tens of thousands of tons of salmon have "swam" from here to the whole country and overseas in the past decade.

"One side of water, one fish." Li Chunyu, general manager of Xinjiang Tianyun Organic Agriculture Co., Ltd., said that in order to ensure quality, the enterprise took the initiative to reduce the breeding density.

The reduction of production capacity comes from confidence.

Li Chunyu's bottom line is Xinjiang's high-quality cold water resources: pure, cold and rich in oxygen.

"The reason why the dealers at home and abroad have a good evaluation is that the triploid rainbow trout, the salmon variety we breed, has a high requirement for the growth environment." Li Chunyu said frankly that the quality of the fish grown in this environment is guaranteed.

The pursuit of quality depends not only on the unique natural resources, but also on innovation as a magic weapon to win.

Research and develop the ecological and environmental protection cage breeding system, and take the lead in formulating the first national local standard for green and environmental protection cage; R&D and application of the first underwater cleaning robot in China; The first semi closed recirculating aquaculture system

"For example, the ecological and environmentally friendly cage breeding system has solved the problem of traditional cage pollution, promoted the adjustment of relevant national policies, and opened up a sustainable way for industrial development," said Li Chunyu.

With the support of science and technology, in recent years, the company has successively obtained BAP from the Global Aquaculture Alliance, BRC certification of global food safety, antibiotic free products and "HACCP system" certification, and food safety has been recognized.

At present, the company can breed 40 million salmon seedlings per year, with an annual production capacity of 12000 tons of high-quality salmon. It has built a mature whole industry chain integrating scientific research and development, seedling breeding, intelligent breeding, deep processing and sales.

In 2023, Xinjiang will produce 6700 tons of high-quality salmon, accounting for one third of inland salmon in China. "Our dream is to let Chinese people eat salmon of higher quality," said Li Chunyu.

The development of salmon industry has driven the upstream and downstream industries to link more than 3000 people for employment, enabling more farmers and herdsmen to lay down their sheep whip and become fishermen, and also bringing more employment options for local workers and people. "My family has divided rooms, recently bought a new car, and my daughter-in-law has come to work here." Wang Xingong, the leader of the adult fish team of the company, smiles.

Salmon is the epitome of Xinjiang's high-quality fishery development. At present, the development and utilization of fishery resources in Xinjiang's natural waters are increasing year by year, and the development of cold water fishery is growing rapidly. Last year, Xinjiang produced 183900 tons of aquatic products, ranking first among the five provinces and regions in the northwest.

"We are preparing to participate in the 8th China Eurasia Expo, and through various domestic and international exhibitions, we can make Tianshan fish 'swim' farther!" Li Chunyu said. (Zhao Qiang, Liu Hui, Yang Rui, Liu Jieyan, Shi Lifeng, Liu Ning, Li Xinyang)
