Urumqi, people.com.cn, May 13, "In 2024, Xinjiang will continue to carry out large-scale construction skills training throughout Xinjiang. It is planned to train 125000 people of various construction craftsmen throughout the year, and 100000 people are expected to be newly employed." A few days ago, Wang Xinsuo, director of the Building Energy Conservation and Science and Technology Education Division of the Department of Housing and Urban Rural Development of the Autonomous Region, said in an interview.

It is understood that the construction skills training will adapt to local conditions and focus on adapting to the development of local industries, focusing on the training of survey and setting out workers, installation fitters, water and electricity maintenance workers, weak current system operation and maintenance workers and other service assurance professionals.

In order to speed up the cultivation of Xinjiang's own construction industry workers in the new era and better serve high-quality development, since 2020, Xinjiang has launched the first round of three-year vocational skills training and employment action for 200000 people in technical work in the construction field. In 2023, a new round of training and employment of 300000 builders with higher requirements and higher quality in three years will be launched. Over the past four years, 520000 construction craftsmen have been trained in Xinjiang, and more than 370000 new jobs have been created.

At present, the total output value of Xinjiang's construction industry exceeds 340 billion yuan, accounting for more than 7% of the GDP of Xinjiang. As one of the pillar industries of Xinjiang's national economy, the construction industry has continued to enhance its ability to absorb employment.
