Software benefits
Using RAW fancy shooting, the file contains a lot of scene details and color information.Only by using Adobe CameraRaw or other professional RAW file editing software in Photoshop can these data be truly manipulated to create a perfect picture.
Even in the face of the sky that seems completely overexposed, we can restore excellent color and texture information from it.Adjust the brush tool to help us selectively dim or brighten the specified area; The stain removal tool can remove the black spots on the screen caused by the stains on the photoreceptor!
usage method
Let's see how to process RAW files with the new version of Adobe CameraRaw.
1. Adjust exposure
Open the file. The misty mountain top is the main part of this picture, so we will adjust it first, and then deal with the sky later.Set the exposure to+0.30 to increase the overall brightness of the picture, and then set the fill light to+19 to display more details of the distant mountain.
2. Adjust the contrast
Next, we will adjust the overall tone of the picture from dark to light.First, set black to 10 to dim the shadow of the foreground rock part. Then set the contrast to+41 to improve the fog brightness and increase the contrast between it and the middle tone.
3. Color and details
Set the natural saturation to+57, which can enhance the color saturation of warm yellow autumn grass in the foreground and green mountains in the background, and make the texture of different scenes in the photo more prominent.Move the color temperature slider to 5600 to add a warm tone to the cold background.
4. Add gradient filter
When shooting, if we can fully reflect the details of the sky, we need to significantly reduce the aperture. But doing so will make the backlight scene dark.Select the gradient filter, set the exposure to -2.15, and the contrast to - 30.
5. Sketch the gradual change
Click directly above the screen, hold down the mouse and drag vertically down to the top of the mountain to create a gradient filter. This can play a dark sky, restore the hidden color and details of the sky.In addition, by doing so, we can appropriately darken the mountains in the foreground, making them more prominent in the picture.
6. Selective adjustment
Select Adjust Brush from the toolbar at the top, and set the exposure to+0.35, the size to 6, and the immortality to 56.Then, brighten the gravel road in the future. This can guide the audience's vision. If necessary, you can adjust the brush size by using the "[", "]" keys on the keyboard.
7. Brighten the fog
Select the New option in the Adjust Brush panel, set the exposure to+0.10, and then adjust the fog in the distance to increase its brightness appropriately. As the fog brightness increased, the darker mountains became more prominent.
8. Remove the stain on the sensor
Select the shrinking tool to enlarge the picture to 100%, then select the stain removal tool, and set the radius to 4.Press and hold the space bar to drag the picture, look for the stain on the photo sensor in the picture, click on the stain position, and use the nearby clean area to replace the stain.
9. Clean up garbage
Set the stain removal type to copy and the radius to 10.Click the garbage on the foreground stone road to generate a red imitation circle. Then drag the green sampling circle to the clean grass, and the grass in the sampling point will cover the garbage in the original picture.
10. Reduce noise
Enlarge the image to 100%, which will help us to judge the image noise reduction results more effectively.Select the Details palette, set the Brightness option in Cut Noise to 25, and remove the screen particles.Next, set the color option to 100 to remove color noise.
11. Adjust composition
Select the Straightening Tool from the toolbar and pull a straight line from left to right along the horizon to make the picture flat. Then, based on the basic palette, we set the saturation slider to+17 to finally enhance the overall color of the screen.
12. Natural saturation
When the saturation slider is used to enhance the color saturation of a RAW image, it is easy to cause the picture to be oversaturated. The natural saturation slider only adjusts the colors with weaker saturation in the picture to avoid this problem. In addition, this option is more unique for color control results such as green or blue, which are common in landscape photos.
13. Gradual filter
The gradient filter is similar to the traditional photographic filter and can help us brighten or darken the specified area in the picture. When people take black and white photos, they often use different color filters in front of the lens to control the light and shade of specific colors. For example, the red filter can darken the blue part of the picture, making the white clouds more prominent.
Format Science Popularization
RAW originally means "raw".It can be understood that RAW image is the original data that CMOS or CCD image sensor converts the captured light source signal into digital signal.RAW file is a file that records the original information of the digital camera sensor and some metadata (metadata, such as ISO settings, shutter speed, aperture value, white balance, etc.) generated by camera shooting.RAW is an unprocessed and uncompressed format, which can be conceptualized as "original image coding data" or more vividly called "digital negative".The full name of RAW format is RAW Image Format, which is called original in programming.
