Zwitterionic polyacrylamide is formed by hydrolysis copolymerization of vinylamide and vinyl cationic monomer acrylamide monomer. According to the infrared spectrum analysis, the chain of this product not only has the "carboxyl negative charge" after the hydrolysis of acrylamide, but also has the vinyl positive charge. Therefore, it forms an irregular zwitterionic polymer with both positive and negative charges on the molecular chain.

Main applications of zwitterionic polyacrylamide

1) Oil field profile control and water shutoff agent, together with cross-linking agent, stabilizer, and coagulant accelerator, generates a high strength coagulant gel water shutoff agent with important polymer gel and resin gel. It can plug formation pores and fractures through attachment and physical plugging, adjust the proportion, and control the gel time to adapt to different geological cleaning conditions. 2) The latest water treatment agent, when treating sewage and filling water on many occasions, the combination of anionic polyacrylamide and cationic polypropylene has a very significant and synergistic effect than the single use of an ionic polyacrylamide. PAM, The polyester energy for reducing the surface tension is far greater than the ability of cations or anions to exist alone under the same conditions. In order to meet the requirements for reducing the surface tension, anions and cationic polyacrylamide need to be used at the same time. If they are used improperly, white sediment will be produced and the use effect will be lost. However, PAM has the characteristics of zwitterion, it can complete the coordination and synergism of anions and cations, and there is no sediment on the surface. Especially for the water quality situation is more complex or the nature of water changes frequently, it is more convenient and effective to use PAM as a flocculant. 3) Sludge dehydrating agent. Due to the increasingly complex nature of urban sewage discharge, the requirements for sludge dehydrating agent in sewage treatment are becoming higher and higher. Single cationic polyacrylamide is not suitable for some sludge dewatering, so our company has developed the amphoteric ion sludge dehydrating agent PAM for this situation, After dewatering test and use of various sludge, it is superior to polyacrylamide with single ion characteristics. In particular, the effect of using zwitterionic polyacrylamide for sewage bulking and dewatering of refinery and chemical plant sludge is more prominent. 4) In the paper industry, as a paper-making chemical, its effect is incomparable with PAM with single characteristics, especially in the aspects of retention and drainage aid, it can improve the drainage speed under the screen, reduce the loss of fiber filler, have a good effect on the wet end system, and promote and compensate the smoothness, strength and difference between the two sides of the paper.
