The reporter learned from the Reform and Development Bureau of Xiong'an New Area that the New Area has implemented more than 380 key projects, completed investment of more than 670 billion yuan, and is expected to complete investment of more than 200 billion yuan in 2024.

Now Xiong'an New Area has more and more perfect and convenient public services. The project of "three schools and one hospital" assisted by Beijing has been operating smoothly. The "15 minute life circle" for the relocated residents in the new area has basically been completed. The kindergarten and primary and secondary schools at the entrance of their homes, the neighborhood post station and elderly care post station near the community, and the convenience stores visible around the corner have satisfied the basic needs of residents in their daily life.

Xiong'an New Area has strengthened the security of Beijing's evacuated personnel in all aspects. The children of the evacuated personnel can transfer to Beijing and take the high school entrance examination in accordance with the relevant provisions of Beijing, so as to ensure that the salary, medical insurance and provident fund of the evacuated personnel in Xiong'an are not lower than the level when they were in Beijing, so that the evacuated personnel can live and work in the New Area.

As a concentrated carrier of non capital functions in Beijing, Xiong'an vigorously introduces the headquarters of central enterprises and their secondary and tertiary subsidiaries. The headquarters building of China Huaneng is in the stage of curtain wall, mechanical and electrical installation and fine decoration. Baiyangdian is the "kidney of North China". Before the establishment of Xiong'an New Area, the water quality of Baiyangdian Lake was poor and some waters were smelly. Some lakes are relatively isolated, with slow flow, which has adverse effects on water quality.

In recent years, Hebei Province has organized and implemented the multi-phase ecological dredging project of Baiyangdian Lake to promote the connectivity of Baiyangdian Lake. The water quality of Baiyangdian Lake has been improved year by year, and the water quality in the lake area has been improved from the inferior class V in 2017 to the stable class III for three consecutive years. The number of wild birds in Baiyangdian increased to 279, 73 more than before the establishment of Xiong'an New Area. At present, the water level of Baiyangdian Lake is stable at about 7.2 meters, and its area has recovered from about 170 square kilometers to about 290 square kilometers.

First plant green, then build the city. The Xiong'an New Area Millennium Forest Project has accumulated 470000 mu of afforestation. Yuerong Park, Jinhu Park and other high-quality leisure facilities have been put into use. The forest coverage of the new area has been significantly improved, creating the interest of "city in the forest, people in the scenery".

In January this year, the National Development and Reform Commission and the People's Government of Hebei Province jointly issued the Opinions on Promoting Xiong'an New Area to Build a Model of Green Development City, supporting Xiong'an New Area to build a model of green development city where people and nature coexist harmoniously. Green Xiong'an will highlight the ecological background of the "City of the Future".

Zhou Longshan said that the ecological environment continued to improve, attracting tourists from all over the world.
