Hydrogen energy, known as the "ultimate energy in the 21st century", is the most promising clean energy at present, and the best choice to realize large-scale and deep decarbonization in transportation, industry, construction and other fields. According to the prediction of the International Hydrogen Energy Commission, by 2050, hydrogen will bear 18% of the global energy terminal demand, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will account for 20% - 25% of the global vehicles. Ningbo is a hydrogen rich city with strong advantages and huge potential to develop hydrogen energy, which is also an inevitable requirement for Ningbo, as a major petrochemical city, to achieve the goal of world-class green petrochemical industry cluster during the "14th Five Year Plan" period. Here are four suggestions for Ningbo to develop hydrogen energy industry in the context of carbon peaking and carbon neutralization:
1. Create an innovative platform for hydrogen energy research and development
Build a hydrogen energy technology research and development platform. Strengthen the introduction of global advanced hydrogen energy frontier technology, carry out basic scientific research and tackle common and key technical problems, break through the technical bottlenecks that restrict the development of the industry, and create a research and development platform that can represent the higher scientific research level in the domestic hydrogen energy field. Build an innovative carrier for hydrogen energy industry. Encourage Ningbo Institute of Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Ningbo University to carry out in-depth research on hydrogen energy frontier technology, and focus on tackling a number of common key technologies in the hydrogen energy industry that need to be broken through. Build a platform for cooperation in production, learning and research. Support enterprises, colleges and universities, and scientific research institutions to establish hydrogen energy industry innovation consortia, and carry out cooperative research around technological innovation of hydrogen energy industry.
2. Build the incubation system of hydrogen energy industry
Create a mass innovation space and incubator for hydrogen energy industry. Encourage all kinds of social entities to focus on the needs of hydrogen energy enterprises in the high growth stage, constantly improve the accelerated services such as technology research and development, capital operation, human resources, market development, international cooperation, intellectual property rights, listed M&A, equity transfer, and accelerate the construction of various types of technology enterprise accelerators such as headquarters, technology pilot, and professional parks.
3. Strengthen investment attraction and training of hydrogen energy industry
To attract investment and introduce leading enterprises. Take the introduction of major projects as the starting point, actively carry out in-depth exchanges and cooperation with leading enterprises and scientific research institutions in the hydrogen energy industry at home and abroad, introduce leading enterprises of hydrogen energy and hydrogen fuel cell with strong driving effect, and accelerate the localization of hydrogen fuel cell production; Guide the development of advantageous non hydrogen enterprises into hydrogen. 4. Vigorously promote the application of hydrogen energy scenarios
Develop application scenarios in transportation, energy, industry and construction, innovate business models, gradually expand the scale of hydrogen energy industry, and overcome bottlenecks. In the field of transportation, accelerate the large-scale and commercial application of fuel cell commercial vehicles. Explore and promote the application demonstration of hydrogen fuel cell in logistics vehicles, port trucks, forklifts and other fields, and gradually increase the proportion of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in port vehicles; In the field of non road transportation, we will further promote the distributed application of hydrogen energy in our city's emergency mobile power supply, steel and other industries. Explore the application of hydrogen energy in port machinery and ships, and promote the demonstration operation of hydrogen fuel marine transport ships, yachts and fishing boats; In the field of energy storage, the pilot promotes the application of hydrogen fuel cogeneration system in residential households, and encourages the development of diversified hydrogen energy application scenarios. Take Cixi "hydrogen electricity coupling DC micro grid demonstration project" as a starting point to orderly promote the expansion of "green hydrogen" industry from point to area.
