Project Background
Beilun is located in the east of Ningbo, in the south of the "Yangtze River Delta" economic circle, and close to Shanghai, the largest automobile manufacturing base in China; The mold industry in Beilun started in the middle of the 20th century. With the strong support of the government, after decades of development, the scale and technology of the mold industry in Beilun have been continuously improved. Data shows that by 2006, the output value of Beilun die casting molds had accounted for about 25% of the country's total; It is known as "China's die-casting mold manufacturing base" and "hometown of die-casting molds".
Up to now, mold enterprises all over the world have been challenged in various aspects to varying degrees. Although China is the third largest country in the mold industry at present, its unreasonable industrial structure, low technical level, dependence on exports and rising labor costs have always been the major problems facing China's mold industry. As one of the main bases for mold production in China, Zhejiang, especially Beilun, a port city with die-casting molds as the main part, is the timely rain for Beilun to find out problems and put forward countermeasures in line with the development of Beilun.
Project idea
Our institute will closely focus on the development status and trend of Beilun mold industry and its upstream and downstream industries. First, our institute has analyzed the current status and trend of import and export of Beilun mold industry based on the macroeconomic database of its industrial market research institute and customs import and export data; Secondly, based on the general situation of the mold industry at home and abroad, the adjustment and opportunities that Beilun mold industry will face will be derived; Through comparative analysis, demonstration and other research methods, it can be concluded what kind of development countermeasures Beilun industry needs to take. In addition, policies will also run through each stage of research and demonstration.
Project effect
The project provided a practical guidance plan for the local government and mold enterprises in Beilun. After the plan was approved, the local government first gave support and guidance to the enterprises at the policy level. Then, with the joint efforts of the government and enterprises, the mold industry in Beilun has been greatly improved in terms of scale, talent introduction and technology improvement, The mold industry has entered the second stage of transformation and upgrading.
