Project Background The coal chemical industry is one of the leading industries in Linfen to achieve transformation and development, and has begun to take shape since 2000. There are nearly 60 coal chemical enterprises in the city, including 16 enterprises above designated size, mainly located in Hongdong, Huozhou, Guxian and other coal coking counties and cities. Coal chemical products are dominated by "fertilizer, alcohol, oil and benzene". In 2009, coal chemical enterprises above designated size in the city achieved a main business income of 3.1 billion yuan, accounting for 3.2% of all industries above designated size. In addition, the projects of Xiangfen Wanxinda with an annual output of 200000 tons of methanol, Linfen Tongshida with an annual output of 200000 tons of methanol, Anze Yongxin with an annual output of 100000 tons of methanol, Shanjiao with an annual output of 200000 tons of methanol, 300000 tons of tar processing, Shanxi Sanwei 1,4-butanediol and downstream products, and 200000 tons of crude benzene refining have strongly supported the new coal chemical industry in Linfen. Project effect By the end of the "Twelfth Five Year Plan", a number of large coal chemical industry groups have been cultivated to improve industrial concentration, technical equipment level and independent innovation ability have reached the domestic advanced level, and comprehensive competitiveness has been significantly enhanced, striving to build an important green, clean, recycling, refined, low-carbon modern coal chemical industry base in the province and even in the country. ——The industrial scale has grown steadily. By 2015, the added value of Linfen coal chemical industry above the scale will reach 30 billion yuan. The annual production capacity of main products will achieve the following goals: methanol and urea will reach 5 million tons and 1 million tons respectively; Synthetic ammonia and crude benzene refining reached 500000 tons and 600000 tons respectively; Dimethyl ether reaches 2 million tons; 1,4-butanediol and acetic acid reached 200000 tons; The olefin reaches 1.5 million tons; Deep processing of coal tar reached 1 million tons. ——The industrial concentration has increased significantly. By 2015, about 10 key coal chemical enterprises will be cultivated, whose output value accounts for more than 80% of the total output value of the city's coal chemical industry, including about 6 large coal chemical enterprises whose output value exceeds 5 billion yuan. We will spare no effort to build coal chemical industry bases in Xiangfen, Puxian, Hongdong, Yaodu District, Xiangning, Anze, and make Linfen an important coal chemical industry base in China. ——The effect of energy conservation and emission reduction is remarkable. By 2015, the energy consumption and water consumption of 10000 yuan industrial added value will be controlled at 9.36 tons of standard coal and 22.86 tons of water respectively, and the total emissions of SO2 and COD will be controlled at 61776 tons and 2400 tons respectively.
