In short, the most different thing is that Beiyu teaches her students a kind of value by words and deeds - not being influenced by others' opinions or affirmations, but living in their own ideal way and respecting others' lifestyle.

I will not repeat the specific learning experience, but only say the most important words.
I think the first thing Beiyu has taught me is an international perspective. Few Beiyu students think it is a big thing to go abroad. In our eyes, the world has no boundaries. Whether it is cultural or geographical, we can freely integrate in any environment. When there is no cultural or regional limitations, we have a more open and inclusive perspective.
Yes, then tolerance. Beiyu is a very inclusive environment. It is inclusive and respectful of everyone and any way of life. Many people are joking. It is also a fact that there are a lot of gay boys in Beiyu. I think it also reflects the inclusiveness of Beiyu to the mainstream and minority groups. Any person, any orientation, and any way of life can be free to be themselves in Beiyu without hiding, and you will not be surprised.
It is also because of such an environment, such a school that does not treat achievements and employment as pressure, that we can really enjoy the process of college in these four years of life, really think about some less utilitarian problems, and find the way we really want to go. I think this is the most valuable place.
When I studied abroad later, when I moved forward step by step in the workplace, when I faced some crossroads that I needed to choose, I often felt that the four years of undergraduate life had imperceptibly given me a broad vision that I could try to experience with openness, It also gave me the ability to understand what I want beyond the universal values. More importantly, my alma mater gave me the most important gift, the courage to live honestly in my own way.
Beiyu is really not the best academic level or the best employment situation, and I can't get the same contacts as the Peking University People's Congress in the Qing Dynasty in Beiyu. I admit all these, but what it gives me is the most valuable thing that a real university education can give a person.
Sometimes I would be idle and bored to think about what life would be like if I had chosen NPC or Beijing University of Foreign Studies? It is possible to become a civil servant working from 9 to 5, to be involved in the financial industry with tens of millions of mouths open and shut. It is possible to shuttle between the elegant combination of Chinese and Western languages in major conferences. There may be 10000 possibilities. Maybe I will live a proud life under universal values.
But thanks to Beiyu, I grew up quietly in this corner beyond the universal values for four years, so that I could have the courage to give up those dignity and pride to really find my own shining place, so that I can now slowly grow into a rich and calm person.
I have always liked the motto of my alma mater, which is different from most schools.

After graduation for so many years, I have never felt bad about Beiyu:
1) Teaching: Although it is neither 985 nor 211, language majors are numerous nationwide. In particular, the teachers who taught us in those years, although some like it and some don't like it, their level is still good. Of course, the foreign teacher in his senior year, Julien, graduated from the Second University of Lyon with a doctor's degree, has a deep understanding of French politics, economy, culture, society, media and other fields, and is able to explain deep social and cultural issues in the simplest language. Some of the knowledge and ideas he conveyed in class are still useful after I graduated 6 years ago.
2) Classmate level: I ranked among the top 300 in Shandong Province in terms of college entrance examination scores in that year. It seems that I lost a bit to apply for a school that is neither 985 nor 211 with such scores. However, after four years of college, I think every student in my class is excellent, and there are many things I can learn from them: there are university tyrants who are excellent at listening, speaking, reading and writing, literary stars who are good at singing and dancing, management talents who can make strategies to properly manage the affairs of the class, happy people who are fond of witty words, and of course, there are all kinds of beautiful women who are fat and thin...
3) Internationalization: No matter how narrow-minded people are, they will be forced to become internationalized when they study in Beiyu. I can't help it. The ratio of foreign students to Chinese students in that year was 7:3. The probability of exchange abroad during the French undergraduate course was close to 100%. As long as you want to go out, almost everyone has a chance. I remember that when I was a freshman, I was very interested in foreigners. I met a friend from Tajikistan, Germany, South Korea, Russia and Belarus. I felt that I would be international if I talked with them more. Also at that time, I personally felt what is called cultural difference: in 2006, a German boy used Google Maps to show me his house, the car downstairs, and the streets of the city. When I searched my hometown, there was only a blank on the display.
Unfortunately, although there are many foreign students in Beiyu, the school does not seem to be committed to strengthening the relationship between foreign students and Chinese students. Everyone has their own classes. If you want to make friends, you can only find them by yourself. The university has not introduced some policies to encourage Chinese and foreign students to study and activities together, as many foreign universities do.
4) Employment and further education opportunities: The school has organized job fairs, and teachers often have some job opportunities to recommend. I found my current unit in the job fair of the school, and the head of the unit is also a direct student of Beiyu. In this regard, it is better than the above.
5) Living environment: "Little UN" is not only reflected in ethnic groups, but also in restaurants and cafes with different flavors: French food, Italian food, Muslim food, Korean food, Japanese food... How many opportunities does Wudaokou, the Cosmic Center, provide beyond academic studies? Although there are only 2.5 boys in the class, why not find high-quality boyfriends when Tsinghua University, Beilin University, Agricultural University, Mining University, Land University, Beike University and Beihang University are surrounded by monk schools? It is no longer news to find a western white person on campus. It is of little discussion value to fall in love with a black person.

In terms of military training, we are going to a magical military training base at the junction of Hebei and Beijing, where Beijing signals and Hebei signals. The military training is not too strict. At least we all train in the shade of trees. The last two days will be hard for the sake of the determinant.
The conditions are really tough. The toilet can't be flushed, it will only be flushed at a fixed time... There is no place to plug in electricity, so it can't be charged. Prepare the charging bank. Bathing is said to be once a day, but actually once every two days, and sometimes even three days... It seems that there are two canteens in Beiyu. In addition to the Qingyan Building, there is also a canteen, but I have never been there... The Qingyan Building has five floors. Usually, I go to the first, second and third floors to have a meal, and the fourth floor has Hani Coffee. There are many people studying in Hani Coffee. The environment is very good, right You can rest assured that the canteen has a wide variety of food. What you want to eat is a little expensive. I like spicy food. I feel that there is no spicy food. It's hard to say, but you can go out of school to find satisfaction

There are four or five people in the school, and the conditions in this area of the university are already good. Girls from the south may not adapt to the big bathhouse at first, but after you go to the military training base for training, you will face the school's bathhouse frankly (there is a partition in the school's bathhouse, but there is no one in the military training base!! Of course, there are also girls who firmly choose not to go to the bathhouse to clean themselves in 14 days

The first feeling in Beiyu is that the school is small, but it also has small advantages. The teaching building is close, so it is very convenient to have classes. The environment is very good and the basic facilities are available. My high school classmates at the Mining University have all come to apply for fitness cards in Beiyu. Beijing Language and Culture University is a university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It was founded in 1962 under the personal care of Premier Zhou Enlai. In June 1964, it was named Beijing Language and Culture University. In 1974, Chairman Mao Zedong wrote the name of the university. In June 1996, it was renamed Beijing Language and Culture University. In 2002, it was simplified to Beijing Language and Culture University.
Beijing Language and Culture University is the only international university in China with the main task of educating foreign students in Chinese and Chinese culture, known as the "Little United Nations". The school provides foreign language, Chinese, information science, economy, art and other professional education for Chinese students, and also undertakes the task of training Chinese teachers and foreign language training for preparatory students before going abroad. After more than 50 years of development, Beiyu has developed into a multidisciplinary university with the characteristics and advantages of language teaching and research, and the coordinated development of Chinese, foreign languages and related disciplines. It has become an important academic center for Chinese and foreign language and cultural research and a cradle for cultivating foreign related high-level talents. In 2014, the university defined the goal of building a world-class language university and the strategic vision of building four academic matrices.

Beijing Language and Culture University has the longest history, the largest scale and the strongest teaching staff in international Chinese language education and Chinese culture education. So far, the school has cultivated nearly 200000 foreign students who understand Chinese and are familiar with Chinese culture for 183 countries and regions in the world. Many of them have become well-known figures in the academic, political and business circles. Since the 1990s, on the one hand, Beiyu has maintained its characteristics and advantages in the field of Chinese international education; on the other hand, it has actively developed related disciplines, covering eight categories, including literature, economics, law, engineering, history, education, management and art. There is now one post doctoral mobile station and two first level disciplines authorized for doctoral degrees, 17 doctoral degree authorized secondary disciplines; There are 6 first level disciplines authorized for master's degree and 6 master's professional degree authorized points. The International Education and Cultural Communication Base of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a characteristic base established by relying on the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Guangming Literature Heritage Research Institute is a research institution jointly established with Guangming Daily. With the continuous expansion of China's foreign exchanges and cooperation, the school has increasingly extensive and close ties with the world. At present, it has established cooperation and exchange relations with 321 universities and educational institutions in 58 countries and regions in the world, forming an all-round, multi field, in-depth and fruitful international education pattern. The university cooperates with Harvard University to establish Harvard Beijing Academy. Bangkok College was set up in Thailand, and Tokyo Branch was set up in Japan.
