The IELTS test for UK visa and immigration is applicable to the following situations:
-Applications for English intensive courses (pre session), foundation courses, language courses or courses below undergraduate level in all British universities
-Study abroad for bachelor's degree, postgraduate degree or above from a highly credible guarantor of British higher education institutions/Tier4 (only applicable when the institutions explicitly require applicants to provide IELTS scores for British visa and immigration)
-Obtaining professional qualification
-Immigration application from English speaking countries, or application for training and non diploma courses.

The purpose of this examination is to meet the specific needs of the British Visa and Immigration Office for spouse and family visiting visa applicants to prove their English listening and speaking skills.
-Level A1 IELTS life skills test meets the CEFR (Common Reference Framework for European Languages) standard, which is equivalent to the English entry level 1 defined in the British National Qualifications Framework (NQF)
-Level B1 IELTS life skills test meets the CEFR (Common Reference Framework for European Languages) standard, equivalent to the English entry level 3 defined in the British National Qualifications Framework (NQF) |
