IELTS spelling requirements of Leeds University in 2020

According to the first-line report of Old Roast Duck, the University of Leeds in the UK recently announced its language score solution for COVID-19. Leeds University officially decided to support overseas international students to apply for IELTS spelling to meet the language requirements for admission.

The University of Leeds made the following explanation of spelling points:

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) at 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in each component skill. *During the Covid-19 pandemic* departments may accept IELTS scores achieved across more than one test where those scores are no more than 2 years old and can be verified on the IELTS verification website.   Please note that we normally cannot accept results from these tests that are over two years old at the start date of the course you intend to study.

That is to say, Leeds University requires applicants to meet the following IELTS spelling requirements:

1. The total score of IELTS should not be lower than 6.0, and the four items of listening, speaking, reading and writing should not be lower than 5.5. The original requirements are: Detailed explanation of IELTS requirements at Leeds University 。

2. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the University of Leeds accepted multiple spelling scores. However, the transcript cannot exceed the validity period of two years.
