The following is the children's shoes experience of material science majors:
What kind of course is material science?
In the third year of material science at Harbin Institute of Technology, the instructor said that you can do well in one aspect, and the same attitude can also be done in another direction (the same process baa (o ´ ω` o) ノ). If you are interested, you can go on doing it. I think that the way out for employment is after graduation. If you can do well in the things at hand now, you don't have to worry about starving to death~
Although I studied polymer, I am also doing material physics. I want to go abroad to study PHD, but I want to work in the United States after graduation. I don't know whether it is appropriate to choose this direction to study PHD.. Seeking science popularization
If you want to work in the American industrial class after graduation, there is probably no very good direction for materials TT... The best choice is to make devices, that is, fabric, so that you can work in Intel, Sandisk and other companies as hardware, and some companies in California as system engineers in the future. Another good direction is to do simulation, that is, to write code. If you don't want to take the road of scientific research, you can switch to electronics and computers. Just my own opinion.
