Grass chicken breeding

Grass chickens are mainly raised in mountain forests, orchards, grass hills, grass slopes, wasteland and other places. Various insects and grass are used as feed, which not only saves feed, but also benefits the growth and development of grass chickens and improves egg production quality. Grass chicken has the advantages of red crown, compact and bright feathers, vigorous limbs, moderate fat deposition, thin skin, tender meat, smooth taste, hard bones and abundant meat. It is suitable for a variety of cooking methods, rich in nutrition, and has the function of nourishing. Chicken is not only suitable for hot frying and stewing, but also suitable for cold and cold meat. Chickens can be eaten all over the body, and have rich nutritional results, which can be seen everywhere, so they are called "good medicine for saving the world" by the people.

Grass chicken breeding method

Before entering the chicken, the chicken house and environment should be thoroughly washed and strictly disinfected. The temperature of the chicks shall be 33-35 ℃ when they are put in the house, and then it shall drop 2-3 ℃ every week until they are de warmed. After the chicks enter the house, they should timely supply clean warm water to make them adapt to the new environment as soon as possible, reduce stress, and prevent dehydration and yolk absorption. Add 3% - 5% glucose before 3 days of age. After the chicks have drunk enough water (3-5 hours after entering the house), they can start to eat. They can use granulated crushed materials to eat freely. Pay attention to "adding more and feeding less".

When keeping the temperature in the chicken house, pay attention to ventilation. From 1 to 30 days old, 24 hours of light is used. After 30 days of age, reduce the light for 1 hour every day until the transition to natural light. Light intensity: 4 watts/m2 at 1-30 days old, and then gradually reduce the light intensity, so that the chicks can see food and water.

At the age of 0-2 weeks, 80 animals per square meter, 40 animals per square meter at the age of 2-5 weeks, 18 animals per square meter at the age of 6-10 weeks, and 12-15 animals per square meter after 11 weeks, depending on the season and climate. The beak was broken at the age of 7-8 days and repaired at the age of 30 days if necessary.

Grass chicken grazing

Generally, grazing is selected from the beginning of April to the end of October. There are lush vegetation and insects such as insects and ants are thriving here. The chickens can get enough ecological feed. In other months, captive breeding is the main method, supplemented by grazing. The dewatered chicks can be properly grazed in a small area in sunny days when the outdoor wind is low and the temperature is high. The first time is about 1 hour, and then gradually extend the grazing time until all-weather grazing.

For all-weather grazing, forage grass should be available, such as white clover, purple flower bud, Rumex, Juba, even cabbage and sweet potato leaves. The pasture should have an emergency shelter from rain and sun. When first grazing, chicks are too small to be put into the grass higher than the back of the chicken. The chickens returned to the shed at night should be properly fed, mainly corn, wheat, soybean meal and other grains, with the feed amount of 20-30g per chicken. During feeding, appropriate amount of trace elements and multidimensional elements should be added to increase the immunity of the body.

Selection of Grass Chicken Breeding Base

Choose dry land, sloping land or wasteland facing south, with a large area of orchards, grasslands or mountains nearby as stocking grounds. The plastic greenhouse chicken house can be built or the old building can be transformed into a chicken house. The shed is high in the middle, low on both sides, 4 meters wide, and 2 5-3m, the eaves on both sides are 1 2-1. 5m, covered with coarse grass, with drainage ditches dug around. The building area of the chicken house is calculated as 8-10 birds/m2. According to the chicken density, a simple fence shall be built around the site, and a rain proof sunshade shall be covered. A material level shall be set for every 30-50 chickens on the site, and a water dispenser shall be used for 80 chickens.

Analysis of Grass Chicken Breeding Technology

Variety selection

The local breed of Qionglong Mountain Grass Chicken in Suzhou can be selected, which is mainly characterized by yellow feathers, fine feet, strong disease resistance, fat body, and the average weight of a single chicken is 2.0~2.5kg.

Miao chicken procurement

One day before the chick picking up, carefully disinfect and debug the insulation equipment and other equipment in the chicken house, and then select healthy, lively and disease-free chicks, pack them and transport them back for cultivation. Chickens aged from 1 to 40 days have strong metabolism, poor thermoregulation, poor digestion ability, difficulty in adapting to external temperature changes, and weak resistance to epidemic diseases. Therefore, pay attention to ventilation and heat preservation during chicken transportation, and avoid crowding.

Chickens drink and eat

Drink water in time

At the beginning, 0.1% potassium permanganate warm boiled water or 8% glucose water can be fed to strengthen the chicks' physique, alleviate stress, and facilitate the excretion of meconium. After that, enough water can be supplied every day.

Open feed

After the chicks enter the brooding room, in addition to drinking water in time, they can start to feed broken rice and cooked egg yolks (3 yolks for every 100 chicks) every 3 hours. On the second day, the formula was corn meal 53.2%, bran 8%, bean cake 20%, rapeseed cake 8%, fish meal 6%, bone meal 2%, shell meal 2%, trace elements 0.1%, multi vitamins 0.4%, and salt 0.3%. Feed it 6 times a day, and put it in the bar shaped grain for feeding. The feeding amount is unlimited, and let it eat fully.

Regulation of environmental conditions

① Temperature. Chickens of 1-7 days old should keep their room temperature at 31-33 ℃, 8-14 days old at 29-31 ℃, 15-21 days old at 27-29 ℃, and 22-40 days old at 25-27 ℃. The temperature in the chick room should be adjusted manually to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning in chicks. ② Humidity. During the brooding period, the indoor relative humidity should be kept at 60%~65% and adjusted in time. ③ illumination. From the age of 1 day, the hatching period starts from 20 to 23 hours of light every day, which is reduced to 13 to 15 hours after 15 days, and natural light is used after 30 days. The light is 2m away from the ground, and the intensity is 1.5~2.0W/m2.

Prevention and treatment of physical injury

It must be prevented according to the immune procedures and preventive drug administration, mainly to prevent infection and poisoning of parasites, large% bacilli, staphylococcus, etc. Grazing chickens are susceptible to parasites, mainly coccidia, trichomonas, leucocystis carinii, etc. For newly grazed chicks, use the decoction of Bupleurum chinense and Changshan Mountain for drinking water, and use 0 Sterilization with 02% caustic soda solution.
