Precautions
First look: check whether there are looped or arc-shaped pinholes (pipe holes) in the wood stumps, and whether there are straight lines or curves divided into layers between the wood. If there are these, they are also man-made boards (wood veneer), because real solid wood has no beautiful lines except rosewood and camphor wood.
Second smell: pure wood has its own special smell. Even after long-term storage or painting, it still has a smell, and many wood will retain a light smell, such as pine wood has the smell of rosin, cypress has a light smell, cedar has a spicy smell, shirt wood has a unique smell, camphor wood has a very obvious smell, basswood has a slight smell of oil, and rosewood has a strong spicy smell at the cut, Walnut will slightly choke. Many domestic timbers have no smell, and wood-based panels will have a strong smell of chemical materials, such as formaldehyde, which is easy to identify.
Three knocks: solid wood pieces will make a crisp sound when tapped by hand, while man-made boards will make a low sound, and wooden pieces in the box will make a thumping drum sound
Four points: according to the weight of the wood, there are three levels: light and heavy weights include dried paulownia wood, medium and heavy weights include pine, basswood, autumn wood, etc. In the north of China, medium density wood is called soft miscellaneous wood (except pine wood), heavy weights include oak wood, fraxinus mandshurica, birch, and imported Liu'an wood, except rosewood, rosewood, rosewood, and other hard wood, To sum up, the tea table made of wood is lighter than that made of particleboard and MDF.
Cleaning precautions
1. Pay attention to the cleaning and maintenance of the tea table surface. The surface of solid wood tea table is coated with paint, so the maintenance of its paint film is particularly important. Once the paint film is damaged, it will not only affect the appearance of the surface, but also further affect the internal structure of the product. Therefore, the tea table should always be kept clean. Every day, use a dry soft cotton cloth to gently remove the surface dust. Every once in a while, use a wet cotton yarn to wring out the moisture to carefully wipe the dust from the corners of the tea table, and then use a clean dry soft cotton cloth to wipe it dry. You can also apply a thin layer of high-quality wax after wiping, and gently wipe it like leather to test the gloss, This not only maintains the wooden tea table, but also increases its brightness. However, we must be careful in selecting polished wax, and we must not use inferior products containing chemical corrosion components.
2. Avoid using alcohol, gasoline or other chemical solvents to remove stains. If there is any stain on the surface of the tea table, do not wipe it hard. Use warm tea water to gently remove the stain. After the moisture volatilizes, apply a little gloss wax on the original part, and then lightly grind it several times to form a protective film.
3. Avoid scratching by hard objects. When cleaning, do not let the cleaning tools touch the tea table. At ordinary times, be careful not to let hard metal products or other sharp tools collide with the tea table to protect its surface from bruises.
