Approaching Science 06/05/2014: Exploring Glaciers (II)

Video Introduction

The main content of this program: On September 26, 2013, following the footsteps of scientists, the film crew set out from Lhasa, 480 kilometers east along the Sichuan Tibet Highway, and came to Lulang in a misty rain. Southeast Tibet is one of the regions with the highest altitude distribution of mountain forest lines in the world. Scientists can use forest lines to predict future climate change. There are very rich plant varieties on these forest lines. Scientists judge the global warming problem according to the different states of these plants. Finally, with the help of Kadui villagers, the scientists successfully installed China Glacier No. 10 Meteorological Monitoring Station on the top of the 5400 meter glacier.
