Wang Huning said that population development is related to the sustainable development of the Chinese nation. The CPPCC should focus on the important issues in supporting Chinese style modernization with high-quality population development. It is necessary to strengthen the theoretical support, research and demonstration, and the effectiveness of advice for the consultation and discussion of politics, use the Marxist population theory to guide and analyze the new trends, new features, and new problems in China's population development, carry out in-depth investigation and research, strengthen the feasibility demonstration and effectiveness analysis of countermeasures and suggestions, and ensure that advice is based on ideas and resources are at the key points.

Nearly 100 CPPCC members attended the meeting. The head of the Population, Resources and Environment Committee of the CPPCC introduced the special research, and 23 CPPCC members and experts spoke.
