Xinhua News Agency, Mexico City, May 22, Bridgetown News: The first Global Supply Chain Forum co hosted by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the Government of Barbados opened in Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, on the 21st.

The 4-day forum focused on a series of important topics such as economic globalization and global supply chain integration. Ren Hongbin, President of CCPIT, led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to attend the forum.

Ren Hongbin said in his speech at the forum that with the rapid development of economic globalization, the integration of global supply chains has accelerated, promoting the development of the world economy and human society. All countries, including developing countries, are an important part of the global supply chain. All parties should strengthen connectivity and strive to build a global development partnership.

Ren Hongbin said that China, as a beneficiary, contributor and defender of the integrated development of the global supply chain, has put forward the "Belt and Road" initiative, the global development initiative, the global civilization initiative and the global security initiative, and has continuously promoted high-level opening up, accelerated the development of new quality productivity, and continued to inject impetus into the development of the global supply chain.

During the forum, Ren Hongbin attended and addressed the press conference of the Global Supply Chain Promotion Report (English version) hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the second China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo, and held talks with government officials such as Prime Minister Motley of Barbados and heads of several international organizations attending the forum.
