The second meeting of the China Germany Transport Forum was held in Berlin

Li Yang, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Transport of China, and Hartmut Hopner, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Digitalization and Transport of Germany, led delegations to attend the meeting respectively. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on topics such as jointly promoting sustainable and innovative development of transport and deepening cooperation between the two departments.

Li Yang said that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Germany. China Germany transport cooperation is an important part of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Since the first meeting of the China Germany Transport Forum, positive progress has been made in various cooperation between the two sides, which will continue to contribute new results to the consultations between the Chinese and German governments. The development of China and Germany is an important opportunity for each other. The transport authorities of the two countries should work together to promote sustainable transport cooperation and jointly promote technological innovation and development in the field of transport.

Hopner said that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Germany China cooperation mechanism on inland navigation and waterway transportation. Germany is willing to continue to strengthen cooperation with China in sustainable transportation, technological innovation and other fields, so as to jointly contribute to addressing global challenges.

After the meeting, the two sides adopted the Minutes of the Second Meeting of the Sino German Transport Forum.
